MoeZart is a mixture of talent all wrapped up into one person... ME! My name is Mariah but I usually just go by Moe. I enjoy anything related to art and creativity and I never knew about the vastness of my talents until I entered High School in the fall of 2007.

Cast out by my peers, I sought refuge in the only place I felt comfortable: the art department. I quickly made myself known throughout the department and in a way, befriended my teachers. I felt at home there, comfortable and eventually, I became admired by my fellow art students.

Starting out, I only knew how to draw with a pencil, but with all of the forms of media available to me, I quickly made it my personal goal to work with all of them (the only class I was not interested in taking was the Jewelry 

courses.) I  began with the Introduction to drawing and Painting and moved my way up in the 2-D arts until I reached the most advanced class offered which I ended up taking 4 consecutive times (over the course of two years, 1 class per semester: Junior and Senior year.) I worked with Acrylic, Oil, and Water paints, Oil and Chalk pastels, ink, graphite, engraving, printing, and collaboration pieces. By the end of my Senior year, I had worked with almost every medium I could and then some. (My art class even formed a little club that would meet during our seminar hour.)

Before I ever got to the High School, I knew about the Glass blowing program and I made it my goal to reach that class by my Senior year. I more than mastered my goal. The first semester of my Sophomore year, I took the Intro. to Ceramics class and then the second semester, I took the Wheel throwing class. I immediately fell in love with wheel thrown ceramics, and it became my strongest medium of art. My Junior year, I took the advanced ceramics class and intro to glass blowing class. By my senior year, I was able to take the Advanced glass blowing class both semesters as well as the Advanced ceramics class which I took a total of 3 semesters.

Now that I am in College; however, I do not take art classes for personal reasons but I do still enjoy all of the mediums I worked with High School.

So Moe, you did not tell us anything about MoeZart! I'm getting to that part.
MoeZart is my signature that I put on all of my work (of course my paintings usually only have my name and the date that they were finished.) It is the name of my "company" and my personal logo for my photography, designs, paintings, and poetry. (YES I WRITE POETRY! Follow my blog and you will get the chance to read some!)
